What is a care level?
A care level indicates how much a person's independence is restricted. Classification is carried out by the Medical Service (MD).
The 6 areas of assessment
The Medical Service evaluates six areas of life. The total score determines the care level:

Modul 5
Coping with illness-related demands

Modul 6

* Only the higher value of modules 2 and 3 is considered.
Care level and care supplies
From care level 1, insured persons are entitled to consumable care supplies worth up to €42 per month.
